Headquartered in Ghana, the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) has opened applications for African entrepreneurs to enter its annual programme — Entrepreneurs In Training — run by the MEST Incubator.

Since inception, MEST Africa has been providing training, seed investment and mentorship for the next generation of globally successful African software entrepreneurs.

MEST offers graduate-level entrepreneurial training in business, communications and software development, as well as extensive hands-on projects. These all culminate in a final pitch where entrepreneurs stand the chance to receive seed funding of up to $50,000 from the incubator.

The training programme is organised to give you the business and technical skills you’ll need to start a successful company”

Successful aspiring entrepreneurs will get a fully sponsored intensive 12-month training program, including a monthly stipend from MEST. Entrepreneurs-in-Training (EITs) are sourced from top graduates in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa and Cote d’Ivoire.

Criteria

  • A deep passion for starting a software company
  • Entrepreneurial or corporate work experience
  • A degree from a top University or Technical College (or equivalent experience)

Benefits
