Orange Corners Nigeria is back with €30,000 for young founders

by Grace Akinosun April 22, 2025 5 min read

It’s no news that the entrepreneurship journey is a lonely one with many travails. And for up-and-coming entrepreneurs, the search for funding can be a frustrating one, sometimes fruitless. Only relentless founders can keep going even in the face of tough adversities. Orange Corners Nigeria, a funding opportunity with a €30,000 promise, is back to fund relentless founders for the 13th time.

Launched in 2019, Orange Corners Nigeria, in partnership with the Netherlands and Fate Foundation, has kept its mission and purpose very straightforward. It aims to build a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in Nigeria by providing the capital needed by businesses to scale. So far, over 220 innovative businesses have benefited from Orange Corners Nigeria.

One such company is Orange Strategy, a waste recycling company founded by Titilayo Falaiye, whose goal is to solve environmental challenges.  Another is a business offering solar-powered cold storage systems to farmers, founded by Babajide Oluwase and WinIch Farms, an agritech platform that connects rural farmers to buyers, founded by Riches Attai.

Who can apply

To qualify for Orange Corners Nigeria, entrepreneurs must meet the following criteria

  • Be between the ages of 18 and 35 years
  • Reside in Ogun State
  • Be computer-literate and have access to a data-enabled device
  • The business must be in its early stages
  • Must belong to one of these sectors: the circular economy, agriculture, health, water solutions and technology

What will you gain?

The Orange Corners Nigeria comes with a package that comprises numerous benefits:

  • Funding support for prototype development, testing, and validation
  • Business incubation and advisory services, with access to professional guidance
  • Mentorship and coaching by industry experts and experienced entrepreneurs

How to apply

The process is straightforward and is split into two stages.

  • Applicants are to complete the online form on the official website of Orange Corners Nigeria. From the application pool, 30 candidates will be shortlisted for the boot camp, where a pitching and interviewing competition is held to further shortlist 20 candidates
  • Finalists then join the new cohort for the intensive training programme, which is its 6-month incubation programme

It is important to submit accurate information and to do so early as only the most promising startups will be selected. The deadline is Sunday, May 18, 2025.
