TiE Women 2025 launches $50,000 grants for Women-led startups globally

by Deborah Idowu May 6, 2025 6 min read

Women-led startups across the globe can now apply for the TiE Women 2025 programme, a global initiative offering $50,000 in equity-free funding, mentorship, and international exposure.

TiE Women, a global effort by TiE Global, was introduced in 2019 to support, empower, and engage women-led startups worldwide regardless of their size, place of origin, status, or history. The programme is built on six foundational pillars: community, safe space, scalability, mentoring, learning, and funding access.

The founders believe that the goal will be accomplished by providing all 61 TiE global chapters with durable, adaptable programming to track the full entrepreneurial experience using reliable result indicators.

Since the programme started, more than 8,000 applications from 62 countries have been received. With more than 100 mentors and experts involved, more than 800 women entrepreneurs have received chapter-level mentoring, and more than 500 women-led startups have been advanced. Also, more than $350,000 in equity-free grants have been awarded to 16 women-led startups.

The Motwani Jadeja Foundation funded a carefully selected group of TiE women founders to visit Silicon Valley with the intention of giving these female entrepreneurs an unmatched chance to become fully immersed in the world’s most innovative technology ecosystem. By giving them access to networks, resources and growth possibilities, the initiative aimed to empower these founders.

A past participant, Giada Bertola, shared, “The TiE Women pitch competition has helped my startup fine-tune our business model. The intensive mentoring helped us develop an outside perspective and helped transform our idea into a global product.”
