Apply for the Commonwealth Africa Cyber Fellowship to secure a year of exclusive networking and career advancement

The Commonwealth Africa Cyber Fellowship is currently accepting applications from talented individuals hailing from African Commonwealth nations. 

Launched in 2022,  Commonwealth Africa Cyber Fellowship provides cybersecurity specialists across the African Commonwealth with a unique platform to exchange expertise, foster collaborations, and influence policy initiatives under the guidance of the Commonwealth Secretariat.

Benefits

The  Commonwealth Africa Cyber Fellowship provides the following benefits:

  • One-Year Fellowship: Successful applicants will serve as fellows for a duration of one year, gaining invaluable experience and contributing to cybersecurity advancements.
  • Exclusive Opportunities: Fellows will enjoy exclusive access to networking events, annual conferences, and academic research prospects, all aimed at enhancing cybersecurity institutions and policies throughout the African Commonwealth continent.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Commonwealth Africa Cyber Fellowships, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Citizens of African Commonwealth nations are eligible to apply
  • Applicants should fall within the age range of 21 to 65 years
  • A minimum of five years of experience in cybersecurity roles within legal, regulatory, telecommunications, academic, or other relevant disciplines is a prerequisite.

Interested candidates should follow these steps to complete their application by the deadline of December 10, 2023, at 23:59 GMT:

  • Send the required documents below to cyber@commonwealth.int.
  • Include a letter of support from your respective organisation, a cover letter, and your detailed resume.
