Global FinTech Hackcelerator 2018 Calls for Application

Global FinTech Hackcelerator 2018 is a program powered by KPMG digital-village which strives to bring start-ups, investors, corporates and government bodies together in partnership; to drive the adoption and integration of innovative solutions. The program is calling on anyone (Individual, team) from around the world who have innovative concepts that can solve problems confronting the financial service industry from a unique perspective, and have the business mindset to execute it.

Problems areas

The problems to be solved are identified in three key areas which are:

  • Financial Inclusion: empowering those that are currently unserved by financial services
  • InsurTech: reshaping the future of insurance services
  • RegTech and SupTech: ensuring the compliance and regulatory requirements of financial services
  • And several others that do not fall within these three categories but has to do with financial institutions

Evaluation Criteria

The evaluation criteria is as follows:

  • The top 20 teams will be selected by a panel of private and public sector industry leaders
  • A 12-week program to enhance their solution through mentorship
  • An exhibition of the solutions at FinTech Festival on 12 November 2018 in Singapore and the top 3 start-ups will receive an additional cash prize of $50,000 each
  • The top teams will collaborate with the industry expert for plan adoption and integration of their solutions into a real client context

Benefits

The 20 most innovative start-ups shortlisted for the Global FinTech Hackcelerator will get:

  • The ability to work with real client in the financial industry
  • A cash stipend of $20,000 and additional cash prizes for the top three finalists
  • Guidance and support from industry experts
  • Corporate adoption programs and collaborative ecosystems
