The GoGettaz Agripreneur prize 2025 is a competition for Africans who run and own businesses in agriculture or use technology to improve farming. The aim is to help smart, young business owners build ideas that can help Africa produce more food and improve the farming system.

Besides funding, the GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize opens up the opportunity for learning, skills development and for participants to join a network of young, creative agripreneurs across Africa, 

In 2023, Previous winners like Hasina from Mad’Arom and Ikenna from Releaf Africa used their prize money to grow their businesses and help their communities. Winning this prize is more than just a chance to grow your business, it’s an opportunity to be part of a community of change makers. In addition to the prize, you’ll have direct access to experienced agriculture mentors, investors, and industry professionals who can help guide your business to global success. Why should you apply?

The competition offers two grand prizes of $50,000 for the best male and female-led agribusinesses. Along with the main prize of $160,000, there is also an Impact Award worth up to $60,000 for excellence in technology, sustainability, and other important fields. Winning the GoGettaz Prize will give your agribusiness global visibility. This could aid in bringing new investors, award recognition, partnerships, and clients globally. Aside from the prize money, winners will receive support to grow their businesses, including mentorship and access to a network of agricultural professionals.

Eligibility 

The GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize 2025 is open to young agripreneurs across Africa. Here are the main requirements:

  • Be 35 years old or younger upon submission
  • Be a citizen of any African Union country
  • Be the founder or co-founder of an agribusiness
  • Have a registered agribusiness, it could be a new business or an already existing business
  • Work in farming, agri-tech, or any business that helps farming in Africa

All applications must be submitted through the official platform. Applicants are encouraged to fill in the application form and provide the necessary information. Be prepared to share:

  • You will need to submit details about your business, its impact, and how it can contribute to solving Africa’s food challenges.
  • Information on how your business stands out, especially if it’s sustainable and innovative

Eligible agripreneurs must submit their application on or before Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
