Tech giant, Google has opened application for Google Launchpad Accelerator Africa, Cohort 3. If you’re building a great business or product in Africa, for Africa, then, Google is interested in you.
Applications are accepted from startups located in Algeria, Botswana, Cameroon, Cote D’Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.
The Launchpad Accelerator Africa programme will provide African startups with over $3mequity-free support, working space, and access to expert advisers from Google, Silicon Valley, and Africa. Selected participants will also receive travel and PR support during each three-month program over the next three years.
Google’s launchpad regional accelerators are tailored specifically to their local markets, and provide access to the best of Google – its people, network, and advanced technologies – helping startups build great products. In addition to these accelerators, Launchpad regional initiatives include exclusive events, mentorship opportunities, and training.

Google said it is committed to the Sub-Saharan Africa developer ecosystem and has, since April 2016, hosted 13 Launchpad Build and Start events across Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa, featuring some 228 speakers and engaging 590 attendees from local startups in each country
