Is your innovative solution interesting enough to win $40,000? Join the Wema Bank Hackathon

In a bid to promote the development of technological solutions for social issues, financial and institutional needs, the Wema Bank Hackathon, Hackaholics 2.0, brings together developers, designers and creative thinkers, through its two-day pitch virtual competition.

The goal is to develop products and discover new technologies, including innovations in risk management, trade, investment, personal finance, big data, retail banking, regulatory compliance, mobile payments, social, environmental and health issues.

The programme kicks off with a pitch competition, between Friday, October 30, 2020 to Saturday, October 31, 2020, where participants would exhibit innovative solutions, judged by market potential and capacity to solve business problems in the following verticals: agritech, healthtech, edutech, fintech, and gaming.

The top 10 solutions would be selected to participate in a 4-week virtual accelerator bootcamp programme, focused on improving the startups’ networks beyond the local market.
