Tucana.NG launches to neutralise web hosting threats and frustrations Nigerian businesses face

IPI Solutions Nigeria Limited, an IT company with expertise in digital transformation, cyber security and advisory consulting, has officially launched Tucana.NG — a web hosting platform aimed at solving difficulties and simplifying the processes associated with web hosting in Nigeria.

According to the CEO of IPI Solutions Nigeria Limited, Mr. Adamu Garba, Tucana.NG was built as a result of some crucial observations made in the Nigerian web space. Besides that it is so disorganised –people host in different places, especially outside the country — users’ consistent complaints on constant downtimes and poor customer support is a big issue.

In Nigeria, one of the major challenges users encounter is lack of effective 24/7 technical support. Thankfully, our parent company, IPI Solutions Nigeria Limited has had a proven track record of more than 10 years in delivering enterprise level support to customers, which will to extend to the Tucana  platform. Tucana.NG users will have 24/7×365 billing and technical support via live chat, email and
telephone calls. , Says, Mr. Garba, CEO, IPI Solutions Ltd.

Being a 1-Tier CSP Microsoft Partner, the company, over a long period of time, has built an industry practice around data center solutions including hosting for different applications at the enterprise level. As such there was a need to develop a product that will give this enterprise experience to small businesses.

Tucana.NGTucana.NG

Tucana.NG is designed to be the fastest, reliable and most secure web host in Africa, Nigeria particularly. The replication site, Microsoft Azure is the largest server farm in the world
with more than 140 data centers globally and a presence in each continent of the world. Hence, websites hosted on Tucana have Azure grade 99.9% uptime.

Also, IPI Solution’s our understanding of the Nigerian web space, the company, in the bid to resolve the problems associated with traffic, has chosen .NG as the primary extension for Tucana. “This is because we want the traffic to be regulated in Nigeria” the CEO explains.

One of the ways we want to accomplish this is by hosting DNS server ourselves. We also have accreditation with NIRA as one of the .NG premium providers which as a result, makes our domain cheaper. Although, the host of the entire platform is Azure, the traffic and all the information that traverses over the network is resolving within our local DNS servers in our virtual online network, the domain host and the content in given pool.” says Mr. Garba.

This is to give a unique Nigerian experience to the globe and global experience back to Nigeria with a standard industry practice, while all the content is still regulated and monitored through our virtual network host (Azure) and DNS Servers” he further explains.

The growing rate of digital transformation of businesses is a clear indicator that business owners are becoming more enlightened about the endless opportunities to tap from by having a brand identity online, than in the past.

The interface is made easy and friendly, so that users with little technical knowledge can find their way around the platform, while tech professionals can get their job done faster.

Our principal goal is to get as many companies and individual as possible to have a
unique, optimised and verifiable presence online.

Also, through Tucana.NG, IPI Solutions Ltd. is determined to ensure most small businesses come into the formal economy by having a seamless online communication window for their customers.
