Join the national dialogue on taxation and development of the non-oil sectors in Nigeria

Telecommunication and Technology Sustainability Working Group (TTSWG), a multi-stakeholder network driving the sustainable growth of telecom and technology sectors in Nigeria, is set to host a national dialogue. The goal is to address the country’s economic recovery, and sustainability of organisations from a tax perspective, against the effects of the global coronavirus pandemic and the resulting economic decline.

The virtual programme seeks to explore opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and progressive regulatory practices; address ways in which organisations can support the government through the post-pandemic phase; beyond tax remittances, the dwindling oil prices and global supply chain disruptions would also be explored.

Themed, “Fast-tracking Economic Recovery through Robust Tax Policies and Practices”, TTSWG has been scheduled to hold on Friday, October 9, 2020, at 10 am. The featured speakers, include; Ben Akabueze: Director-General, Budget Office, Federal Republic of Nigeria; and Muhammad Mamman Nami: Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

Other speakers are Taiwo Oyedele: Fiscal Partner and West Africa Tax Leader, PwC Nigeria; Gbenga Adebayo: Chairman, Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators in Nigeria; Olusola Teniola: President, Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria (ATCON); and Eno Udoma-Eniang: Head, Government & Legislative Affairs, 9mobile.
