A global competition, SHRMLabs’ Better Workplaces Challenge Cup (BWCC), powered by SHRM, seeks the most creative and revolutionary concepts and answers to address the most pressing issues facing workplaces.

The SHRMLabs’ Better Workplaces Challenge Cup Startup track focuses on WorkplaceTech startups transforming workspaces through a three-round hybrid pitch competition.

Witness startups pitch their transformative ideas to businesses, HR professionals, and SHRM members.

Benefits

Participants stand a chance to receive the following benefits:

  • Win a substantial cash prize of $50,000

  • Gain exposure to SHRM’s vast network of 325,000+ members across 165 countries, impacting 235 million workers and their families globally

Judging Criteria

  • Innovation: Evaluate the originality and disruptive potential of your solution

  • Scalability: Assess how your solution can positively impact a broad scale of workers

  • Impact: Measure your company’s ability to create vibrant work environments with significant positive outcomes

  • Alignment to SHRM: Analyze how your solution aligns with SHRM’s principles to enhance HR effectiveness and strategic acumen.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the SHRMLabs’ Better Workplaces Challenge Cup the following criteria must be met:

  • Startup in early stages focusing on workplace technology, HR tech, Future of Work, or Human Capital Services

  • Must have a management team, a public website, and be a for-profit business

  • Explain your business plan and provide KPIs for adoption, engagement, and traction

  • Total outside funding should not exceed $5 million at the time of application

  • Revenue at the time of application must not exceed $5 million

  • Solutions must directly improve working conditions, with a wide range of workplace segments accepted.

How to Apply

Apply for SHRMLabs Programs 2024 by January 15, 2024. Participate in the 4th annual global WorkplaceTech competition to redefine the future of work.
