by Oluwatamilore Lawal August 21, 2019 4 min read

Startup Grind Lagos will be hosting yet another meetup this August. The guest for this month is Toba Obaniyi, CEO of Nigeria’s web hosting provider—WhoGoHost Limited. Toba is a graduate of Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

He joined WhoGoHost in 2010 when it was just a business arm of Ennovate Nigeria, a company founded by Opeyemi Awoyemi. At the time he was just a web programmer and an online customer service specialist. Three years later, he became CEO of the company. Toba will be sharing his story as well as teaching how to scale a business with technology.

The global startup community will also be hosting Sheddy K, a serial entrepreneur and OAP with Urban 96.5 FM. Sheddy K is co-anchor on Traffic the Urban Drive and equally runs a mixology business where she makes drinks; Big Fish Cocktails. The OAP will be sharing tips on how to use PR to grow a business. The two guests will be sharing their knowledge and stories in line with the theme: Leveraging Tech for Business.

Startup Grind is a community-powered by Google for entrepreneurs. The event holds monthly in 250 cities and 100 countries across the world, featuring successful local founders, innovators, educators, and investors who share personal stories and lessons learned on the road to building great companies.

Startup Grind Lagos has hosted renowned guests and entrepreneurs like Onyeka Akumah (CEO, FarmCrowdy), Frank Donga (Renowned comedian, actor, and entrepreneur), Omobola Johnson (VC and Former ICT Minister) and other celebrated names in the Nigerian entrepreneurial landscape.
