Google for Startups Accelerator Africa 2025 opens applications with $350K in cloud credits and more

It’s a good day for Seed to Series A startups in Africa as applications just opened for Google Startups Accelerator Africa 2025 cohort. If you are a technology startup building a scalable product or service with a significant total addressable market and defensible model, leveraging advanced tech like Machine Learning and AI, this is for you. Google for Startups Accelerator offers technical support, leadership training, and workshops tailored to meet the needs of your startup.

Over the years, Google for Startups Accelerator has served the needs of early-stage startups globally, helping them to leapfrog their businesses, from start to build and thrive. At the onset, the programme positioned itself to bridge the access gap by supporting startups and enlisting experts, products, and technology in the Google ecosystem to give selected companies the structure for scale.

The Google for Startups Accelerator Africa 2025 runs a hybrid mode that spans three months, consisting of physical bootcamps, virtual workshops and mentorship, where 10 to 15 startups collaborate to work on projects that will further enhance the impact of their startups in the communities they serve. It is designed to bring the best of Google’s programs, products, people and technologies to people across Africa.

At the Google for Startups Accelerator Africa 2025, startups will have the opportunity to explore several cloud capabilities, experiment with several features while building the revolutionary tech you’ve always dreamed of, without worrying too much about cost.

Are there features you’re having difficulties implementing or bugs you’re having issues fixing? There’s access to industry experts from Google for Startups Accelerator and their partners who’ll guide you through and see your problem solved.

More importantly, you’ll meet with many brilliant minds and intelligent brains like you, people you can learn from and build great partnerships with during and after the three-month programme.

To sweeten the deal, startups participating in Google for Startups Accelerator Africa 2025 will be drafted into its global community and rich alumni network, which is a huge plus for marketing spotlight opportunities.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a Seed or Series A startup that’s making revenue
  • Have an existing model or are building a model that’s addressing the needs of the masses
  • Be an organisation that must have been infusing tech or infuses deep technology like Machine learning and Artificial intelligence
  • Have a CTO who will be committed to participating in the required sessions

Like previous editions, Google for Startups Accelerator Africa 2025 promises immense benefits for participating companies. Selected businesses will:

  • Thursday, April 10, 2025 — programme opens

  • August 2025 — graduation of successful startups

First, ensure your startup meets the criteria for Google for Startups Accelerator Africa 2025. After which, visit the application page and fill out the form with all detailed information about your startup, including its traction, your product or service, team and the technical challenges you are facing. Submit the form on or before the deadline on Friday, May 9 2025.
