The RevUp Women 2025 enterprise programme Nigeria edition is back, offering $24k in grants, Pan-African mentorship, and tailored business support to early- to mid-stage women entrepreneurs in Nigeria. The struggle of being a founder in the world is never-ending, let alone being an African female founder. From limited funding to exclusion from key business networks, women across the continent are forging ahead despite such odds. The programme aims to empower women-led startups for long-term success in today’s evolving business landscape.

Since its launch in 2023, RevUp Women has been committed to unlocking the potential in women-led businesses across the continent. Nigerian female entrepreneurs can now apply for RevUp Women 2025, a joint initiative led by the Visa Foundation and AfriLabs, for up to $24k in grants, mentorship, and business support. RevUp Women is part of a broader vision to close the gender gap in entrepreneurship. Now, RevUp Women 2025 is doubling down on its impact with $24k in funding support and a community-based approach.

RevUp Women does not just support ideas; it backs women building real businesses. In its first edition, the programme awarded $100k in grants to 10 exceptional female-led startups across Africa, each of them gaining $10,000 to strengthen their businesses.

Some of the standout winners were:

  • Baby Grubz: a Nigerian-based nutrition-focused brand making healthy and affordable foods for infants and toddlers
  • Queen Amina Medical Integration: a Nigerian healthcare startup committed to improving access and efficiency across medical systems
  • Ecpkud Limited: a Kenyan green tech business developing sustainable solutions through circular economy models

These success stories highlight the program’s effectiveness in supporting business that addresses real problems.

Benefits

  • Hybrid acceleration: a 12-week programme targeted towards business expansion, tech integration, and investment readiness
  • Pan African mentorship and network access: Guidance from high-quality African mentors and visibility across the AfriLabs network
  • Grant funding of $24k: three top winners will receive $5,000 each, and three runner-ups will get $3,000 each
  • A community and resources: available to women entrepreneurs to improve business growth and efficiency
