Apply for Founder Institute Lagos Cohort III programme before application closes
In July, Founders Institute (FI), a pre-seed startup accelerator called on startup founders to participate in its Cohort III, a programme that trains business owners on how to grow their businesses, provide mentorship support, structure and global network of entrepreneurs needed to kick start a company.
The 14-week FI programme graduated 23 founders out of 46 participants who completed Cohort II in an online version of their Velocity event themed “Winning in Uncertain Times”. The startup accelerator based in Silicon Valley celebrated the founders in a virtual event temporarily renamed “Velocity_mini”.

In September 2019, FI which currently has chapters in Lagos and Abuja graduated its first cohort members. A total of 44 participants registered for the first cohort but after 13 weeks of difficult tasks, only 25 founders made it to the finals.
This new cohort III will start from August 19, 2020, and the sessions will take place one night per week via zoom, over 14-16 weeks period. For participants who apply before registration closes at 11:59 pm on Sunday, August 9, 2020, they will be given the opportunity to take a free DNA test, be eligible for a reduced course fee and also have a chance of being accepted.
The application is open to individuals building a business that has established businesses and teams, in the pre-funding stage. In addition, aspiring entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply.
With over 200 chapters in cities across the world, Founder Institute helps startups, business owners to raise funding, get into seed-accelerators, generate traction, recruit a team, build a product, and more.
“Startups who make the decision to join the programme will be learning how to build and launch a company in a structured way plus become a part of a global network of innovators, mentors and investors,” said the Regional Director, Founder Institute, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr.
